Nigeria’s senior national men’s football team the Super Eagles have been ranked 3rd best team in Africa in the lastest FIFA rankings released for February 2022, www.owosports.com.ng reports.
In the rankings released the three times African Champions moved from 5th to 3rd in Africa and 32nd in the world after accumulating 31 points to move into the top 3 position in Africa.
Newly crowned African champions Senegal maintained number one spot in Africa after their while Morocco are now second in Africa. Senegal also rose to the 18th position in the world
The Super Eagles won all their games at the AFCON group stages but fell to Tunisia in the round of 16 but that glitch could not stop their rise in the rankings
They were fifth before now and were ceded for the World Cup qualifiers in March because of that ranking
