Bayelsa Queens forward Mercy Itimi says they are fired up and ready to conquer Africa as they look set to represent Nigeria at the second edition of the Women CAF Champions League holding in Morocco.

Bayelsa Queens who arrived in Casablanca, Morocco on Monday 24 October 2022 ahead of the championship which begins on October 30, on Thursday had a test game against Racing Athletic Casablanca of Morocco where they won 11-0 in the match played at the Magic Village in Casablanca.

Itimi Mercy, Flourish Sabastine and Juliet Sunday were the goal scores for Bayelsa Queens as they whipped their host from Morocco.

The Prosperity Girls are in Group B and will play Mamelodi Sundowns, Wadi Degla and TP Mazembe in the first round.

Bayelsa Queens fc have on Friday arrived the city of Marrakesh venue for their opening CAF Women’s Champions League clash against Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies on Monday 31 October 2022.

Other notable names in the Bayelsa Queens side includes Nigeria Under 20 star Flourish Sabastine, Mary Anjor, Glory Edet, and Miracle Joseph.
