Months after parting ways with Enyimba FC, coach Olanrewaju Yemi Daniel, also known as Coach Yema, has reportedly turned down several offers from West African country and within Nigeria.

Coach Yema, a former head coach at Vandrezzer FC, assistant coach at MFM FC, and Enyimba FC, took over as head coach of Enyimba FC following the departure of Coach Finidi George. Led the team to continental stage last season and qualified Enyimba to group stage as the only team to scale through the preliminary stage from Nigeria.

Despite the opportunity for a swift return to football, Coach Yema has rejected offers from Benin Republic as it was reveal to us through an agent who facilitated the clubs and was surprised why he turned such opportunities down.

When asked about his decision, Coach Yema explained, “Yeah, I don’t think I can say yes to every offer that comes my way now. I need some time to be with my family. Also there are few contacts from East Africa, but nothing is concrete yet. My next coaching course is my major focus, and what I am preparing for now. Except there is something tempting, then I can jump at it “

Coach Yema’s priority is now focused on advancing his coaching career through further education, rather than rushing back into a coaching role.
