Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ojo Olorunleke, has commenced divorce proceedings against his wife, Tosin Ojo, citing irreconcilable marital differences.
The couple, who got married in 2016, have two sons and have reportedly faced serious challenges in their union for over a year.
Sources close to the family alleged that the dispute began after Tosin discovered Olorunleke’s relationship with Abuja-based girlfriend, Precious Daniel.
The situation reportedly deteriorated following Nigeria’s participation in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, where Olorunleke was part of the squad.
According to reports, Precious shared images and videos of her private moments with Olorunleke on social media, which further strained the goalkeeper’s marriage.
Following a confrontation, Olorunleke allegedly admitted to the affair but declined to end the relationship when urged by his wife.
Tosin was said to have appealed for reconciliation on the condition that her husband discontinues the extramarital affair.
Olorunleke, however, chose to proceed with a formal separation and has reportedly filed for divorce at the High Court in Lokoja, Kogi State.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the goalkeeper proposed to Precious with a ring valued at about ₦3 million.
The pair have been sighted together at public locations in Abuja and are believed to be cohabiting.
There are speculations that Olorunleke plans to marry Precious once the divorce process is concluded.
Olorunleke has played for notable clubs in the Nigerian league including the defunct Giwa FC, Sunshine Stars, Abia Warriors and Akwa United.
He has since played for two clubs outside Nigeria since he left Enyimba in 2024 which both ended abruptly as his contracts were reportedly terminated.
The court has fixed July 24, 2025, as the date for the hearing of the divorce suit between Ojo Olorunleke and Tosin Ojo.
