It’s a new dawn for the Nigeria Professional Footballers Wives Association (NPFWA) as the Association joyfully marks her 6th year in office. With hearts full of gratitude, NPFWA acknowledges God’s grace and guidance over the years.
True to its tradition of giving back to society, NPFWA commemorated this year’s anniversary with acts of love and charity across different chapters.
In Ilorin, the chapter led by the President of the Association, Mrs. Ify Ichull Lordson, visited Waafah Children’s Home, bringing smiles and essential supplies to the children. The chapter also paid a courtesy visit to their patron, Chief Alloy Chuwuemeka, where they celebrated the milestone together and received valuable counsel on advancing the Association’s vision.
Meanwhile, in Kaduna, the chapter, under the leadership of Coordinator Mrs. Esther Joshua Obaje, reached out to a public school, where they held an enlightening session on Personal Hygiene During Menstruation for young girls. The school management expressed deep appreciation and appealed for more such engagements in the future.
Adding color to the celebrations, the husbands of NPFWA members — many of whom are currently on break from their professional engagements across Asia, Europe, and Africa — honored their wives with a friendly football match. The event, held in Kaduna, was filled with laughter, bonding, and cherished memories.
Reflecting on the Association’s journey, the President, Mrs. Ify Ichull Lordson, shared:
“I am most joyous about the achievements we’ve recorded from our first up to this sixth year. There has never been a year NPFWA did not touch lives. We remain committed to making a positive difference.”
Special appreciation goes to Mr. Billy Auta, Mr. Samuel Agba, Mr. Donatus Edafe, Mr. Andrew Ikefe, and Mr. Innocent James for their immense support toward the success of this year’s anniversary.
The Association also acknowledges the tireless efforts and support of its esteemed executives: Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka, Mrs. Gloria Johnson Mundi, and Ms. Henrrientta Ihiabor Iheakonyen, for their consistent financial and moral contributions.
