Aderibigbe’s late strike lifted Vittoriosa Stars over Xghajra Tornadoes in Maltese Amateur League 1 playoffs.
The exciting encounter which was played at Centenary stadium on Sunday saw Aderibigbe’s lone strike in the 90th minute help his side beat their opponents by a lone goal.
Aderibigbe who has just returned for his side after an injury secured the vital three points in the 90th minute of the encounter.
His latest goal was his eighth plus two assists in eight appearances for his side, since joining on loan from Mosta FC in January 2025.
The former Ikorodu City striker expressed confidence that the important victory will put his team in contention for promotion.
Aderibigbe appreciated God for the victory, as he charged his teammates to remain calm and focused ahead of next game.
“I can only say thank you Lord for the important victory, today as we keep pushing” he stated.
Vittoriosa Stars will lock horns with Luqa St Andrew’s FC in their last game as they eye promotion to the Maltese Challenge League.
