Says His Target Is To Win The League With Kwara United…

Super Eagles and Kwara United goalkeeper Adewale Adeyinka believes they have a huge task ahead of them in the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederations cup against RS Berkane but believed they will be ready for the challenge, Owosports.com.ng reports.

The goalkeeper said the tie against the Moroccans will be a very different game compared to their last game against AS Douanes adding that they will be going head to head against a very sound tactical team and the defending champions of the competition.

“We know the task ahead of us we know the game will be different from the one against AS Douanes because we will be coming up against a tactically sound team but we are working towards it and we believe that with determination and hard work we know we can overcome them”, He said to Owosports.com.ng.

Adewale Adeyinka who joined from Akwa United this summer kept a clean sheet over two leg against AS Douanes and was named the man of the match in the second leg in Niamey.

He however revealed that his target is to win the NPFL title with Kwara United and keep qualifying for the CAF Inter-club competition.

“My target with Kwara United is for us to win the league, it’s the dream of every player to win the league and we will also make sure we qualify for the CAF Champions League or the CAF Confederations cup.

Also reflecting on the Super Eagles B failure to qualify for the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) after they where eliminated by Ghana 5-4 on Penalties after it ended 2-2 on aggregate. The goal tender believed they gave everything they could but admitted it was very disappointing not to qualify.

“We gave our best to the country but it wasn’t enough we lost on penalty to Ghana it unfortunate that we couldn’t qualify for the CHAN Championship we feel disappointed”, He concluded.
