Super Eagles forward Moses Simon was named man of the match in Nigeria’s remarkable 3- 1 victory against Sudan at the ongoing 2021 Totalenergies Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, Owosports.com.ng reports.
The Nates of France Winger set up Samuel Chukwueze for Nigeria’s openner in the third minutes before scoring the third goal one minute into the second half as the three time African Champions strolled to victory.
“I’m happy to win this award, it’s nice to be named the best player on the night,” Simon said after the game
“The award is not for me alone, it’s for the entire team. The most important thing is that we won and I’m happy about it”. He added.
Nigeria will face off with Guinea Bissau for the final Group D game on Wednesday January 19th 2022.
