Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has reportedly donated the sum of one thousand five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500) to support the building of a Central Mosque in Garoua, Cameroon, Owosports.com.ng reports.
This was made known by a top Nigerian Sports Journalist Adepoju Tobi Samuel, who is in Cameroon covering the Africa cup of Nations, “Musa has donated $1,500 to support the ongoing building project of the Central Mosque in Garoua”, he tweeted on his social media accounts.
“Players and officials of the team have been worshiping in the Central Mosque since they arrived in Garoua. The gesture to support the ongoing building project was appreciated by the leaders of the Mosque.” He added.
The Russian base forward who is the all-time most capped Super Eagles player has made just one appearance in the ongoing 33rd edition of the Totalenergies African cup of Nations after coming on as a second half substitute replacing Kelechi Iheanacho in Nigeria 3-1 win over Sudan in Garoua on Saturday.
