AFCON 2023 To Hold Between June/July In Cote D’Ivoire


The Confederation of Africa Football, CAF has confirmed that the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations will hold from June 23 to 23 July 2023 in Cote D’Ivoire, reports.

CAF changed the dates of the tournament to June and July rather than the usual January, which will come into play as of the 2019 tournament.

The ongoing 2021 AFCON was moved to January 2022 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic which ensured that many sporting activity was cancelled.

With the Africa Cup of Nations expanded to 24 teams, six venues are expected to be used at the championship.

This will be the second time Cote D’Ivoire will be hosting the African cup of Nations after they first hosted in 1984 with the 2021 Host Cameroon emerging champions.
