Afeez Olororo Relishes CAF Confederations Cup Opportunities With Kwara United

Kwara United energetic defender Abdulafeez Musa popularly called ‘Olororo’ has expressed excitement after the club were awarded the chance to represent Nigeria at the CAF Confederations cup.

The Harmony Boys were awarded Nigeria’s final continental ticket despite their fourth place finish in the just concluded 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

Following the delay in getting a winner from the Aiteo FA cup, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) submitted the name of Kwara United as it’s representative for the CAF Confederations cup a slot meant for the winner of the Aiteo FA cup competition.

Kwara United left back is however excited with the development stating that playing in the CAF Confederations cup will further boost his career and give him the opportunity to showcase his talent to the world.

“I am excited with this development because it will give my career a huge boost to my career and a platform to showcase my talent across African and the world”, He told Owosports.com.ng.

“We narrowly missed out the last time, playing in the continent was our major target this season we worked for to get it but we were disappointed to finish outside the top three, it was cheering hearing that we will be playing in the CAF Confederations cup despite our position on the table and i believe it was the Allah who did it.

“We will go out their make the people of Kwara’s and Nigeria proud. We are focused on our first game against AS Douanes of Niger Republic and I am optimistic we’ll scale through”, he concluded.

Kwara United are currently in Ikene Ogun State for the Value Jet preseason tourney and will later today (Friday) August 26th 2022 file out against NNL side Ottasolo FC.

Kwara United will host AS Douanes of Niger on September 9th at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Lagos state.
