OwoSports.com can report that the MatchDay 4 game between the MFM and Warri Wolves may not hold at the Agege Stadium on Wednesday.

According to our source, the Agege Stadium has been booked for the 6th edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) concert and musical award on Thursday.

The concert which is expected to be shown live on cable television, DStv will have a line up of a-list Artiste, Tiwa Savage, Sauti Sol, Nasty C, Stonebwoy, Teniola, Aminux, Pasuma Wonder, Toofan, Fireboy, Saheed Osupa, Master KG, Awilo Longomba and 9ice perform at the Agege Stadium.

Asked why the game can’t be played on Wednesday since the award is for Thursday, the Agege Stadium management informed that the goal post will be removed to allow AFRIMA mount a stage and some equipment on the pitch.

Efforts by the Olukoya Boys to reach the League Management Company (LMC) boss, Shehu Dikko on Sunday in Maseru, venue for the 2021 AFCON qualifying game between Lesotho and Nigeria did not yield positive result as Dikko insisted that the game must go as scheduled.

As at the time of this report, the Lagos State Football Association was still making frantic efforts to ensure that the game holds by persuading AFRIMA mounts their stage after the game.

The Olukoya Boys are 4th on the NPFL log with 7points following their shocking win against Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on MatchDay 3.
