Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa and his Turkish Super Lig club Sivasspor have parted ways, after having his contract terminated, reports OwoSports.com.ng.
Musa, 31, was part of Jose Peseiro’s team at the just concluded AFCON 2023 tournament in Ivory Coast as the Nigerian team returned home with a silver medal, but he played none of the seven games in the competition.
According to sources, the former Kano Pillars man has also terminated his contract as the club owes him six months’ wages.
Ahmed Musa joined the one-time Turkish Cup winners after terminating his contract with another Turk club, Fatih Karagümrük.
He put pen to paper with Sivasspor on a two-year deal in September 2022 and struggled for playing time in his first season.
