Just days after departing Suadi Arabia topfilght side Al Nassr on mutual concent, Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has come out to reveals his intentions of making a return to Europe, Owosports Reports.
The 28 years who enjoyed lots of success in European football with Russian side CSK Moscow, left Europe for the Middle East in 2018 after failing to reciprocate the form that saw title winning Leicester city splash out a club record fee of £16.6 million to land the Nigerian at the King Power Stadium in the Summer of 2016, where he made just 21 Premier League matches in his two years stinct with the club.
The former Kano Pillars star In a chat with ESPN, has however revealed that his desire of making a return to Europe was the reason he ended his two year union with his Arab club side Al Nassr.
“I have enjoyed my time in the two years that I have been here, and the club has been great to me”.he said.
He continued by revealing his dream wanting to return to Europe “but I have always wanted to return to Europe, and I feel that this is the best time for me to make that move ”
“I want to get back to playing at the top level again against the best players in the world.”
“I would like to thank everyone at Al-Nassr and all the fans for understanding and respecting my wishes, but especially for making me feel such a big part of the club and I will never forget them.” he concluded.
Ahmed Musa In his two years stay with the club made 50 appearance scoring nine goals in
Suadi Arabia top-flight matches winning the Saudi Premier League and the Saudi Super Cup in 2019.
