Head coach of Delta Queens Tosan Blankson is full of praise for his ladies following their hard fought 4-3 penalty shootout win over Heartland Queens Ladies in Ijebu Ode on Sunday evening to seal passage into Semifinals of the competition.
It was a tough evening for Delta Queens who needed penalties to secure victory over Heartland Queens Ladies after it ended goalless in normal time.
The coach who was tension soaked during the game attributed the success as the working of God and aswell gave full credit to his ladies for the adding that they gave their best and deserved the victory.
“The girls gave their all in the game and deserved the victory”, He said.
“When it got to penalty i told them to be calm even when we lost the second kick I applauded them and asked them be calm.
“We had so many opportunities which we didn’t convert but it’s part of football sometimes you have so many opportunities but then find it difficult to convert but we thank God”.
He however revealed that their destination is the final and the target is to win the trophy.
They will take on FC Robo Queens in the Semifinals on Thursday in Abuja.
