The Sporting Lagos academy player’s impressive throws caught the attention of fans and scouts alike at the 2024 Gothia Cup.
Akomolede’s remarkable talent was on full display in the tournament’s final match, where he assisted four goals through his long throws, leading Sporting Lagos to a resounding 4-0 victory over Japanese side FC Tokyo.
The young prodigy’s outstanding performance earned him the Best Player award in the final, and he also scored a goal to cap off an unforgettable night.
