BFC Daugavpils of Latvia defender Joshua Akpudje says he is not in a haste towards making the Super Eagles squad but believes the call will come at the appropriate time, owosports.com.ng reports.

The 22-year- old who has made an appearance with the Nigeria U-23 team in an Olympics qualifying game in a chat with www.owosports.com.ng, said he is not looking to rush into the National team and never get called again, insisting that he is working hard in improving his game to be ready for the Super Eagles.

“At this stage, i am not worried not getting the Super Eagles call-up, it not about being called up once and not get called again, it about becoming a member of the team having a lengthy spell with the team,” Said the former MFMFC defender.

“I am working on my lapses game after game to be ready for the Super Eagles when the call comes,” He Concluded.

Joshua has became an important member of Coach Oleksandr Horshkov team since joining the Latvia top-flight side BFC Daugavpils in March 2020 just a year with Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side MFMFC of Lagos.
