Mercurial midfielder Dare Ojo is excited making is NPFL debut on high note for Akwa United after they secured a point on the road against Warri Wolves at the Warri City Stadium on opening day of the 2019/2020 season.
The former Lobi Stars who joined the Promise Keepers on a season deal believes with the calibers of players at the team, the glorious days is here and promise to work hard for their next game against Abia Warriors at the Godswil Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
Speaking with OwoSports.com, “Am happy making my debut in an away game most especially in a new team with the caliber and experience of the players, I believe with hard work I will feature in more games.
“We all felt great after the game getting a point away from home but that was not the result we wanted, maximum three points is what we craved for, but we still give glory to God for what we got in the game.”
On the Promise Keepers preparation for the next game against Abia Warriors, Ojo says,
“We are back home now to prepare for the Warriors from Abia; we have learnt from our mistakes in the game against Wolves, now we are home to correct those mistakes and work very hard to consolidate at home for the maximum point against.
“Am trying to get use to the town as it’s conducive atmosphere here with time I will get use to my new base.”
