Alex Iwobi Faces Uncertainty Over His Everton Future

Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi’s Everton career could just be over as the Toffees are prepared to offload the midfielder after the arrival of key signing this window, OwoSports Reports.

According to the Mirror UK, Everton are prepared to offload Alex Iwobi in the summer transfer window, just a year after signing the winger from Arsenal.

Iwobi alongside several first team players namely Sandro Ramirez, Yannick Bolasie, Mo Besic, Matthew Pennington, Theo Walcott, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Bernard and Moise Keane have been listed for a possible exit from the Toffees, as boss Carlo Ancelotti is keen to restore balance into the sides.

Everton are looking to balance their books after bringing in James Rodriguez, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucouré from Real Madrid, Napoli and Watford respectively this summer as the sale of Iwobi and other fringe players could help club maintain the needed balance.

The Nigerian was missing from Ancelotti’s opener against Tottenham Hotspur which and league cup against Salford FC suggest his stay with the club could just be over.

The former Arsenal Academy product joined Everton in a fee of 35 million pounds however contributed to only three goals (2 goals, 1 assist) in his debut season at Goodison Park, his lowest tally in a single season since turning pro.
