Anthony Ujah Fires Blank, Suleiman Abdullahi Missing As Union Berlin Bow To Bayern Munich

Nigerian forgotten striker Anthony Ujah fired blank as his club Union Berlin was condemned to a 0-2 loss at home to league leaders Bayern Munich in the German Bundesliga game played on Sunday at Stadion An der Alten Försterei (Berlin).

The Nigerian saw seventy one minutes of action as Bundesliga resumes after suspension due to Coronavirus pandemic but failed to hit target as he was replaced by Swedish forward Sebastian Andersson.

The 29-years-old Ujah who has scored just two Bundesliga goal so far, was making his seventeen league appearance for Union Berlin this season.

However his compatriot Suleiman Abdullahi who has made just four league appearances this campaign wasn’t listed in the match day squad.

Forty minutes first half penalty from Polish striker Robert Lewandowski and a eighty minutes strike from French World Cup winning defender Benjamin Pavard ensured that Bayern Munich maintained a four points gap on the log standing with fifty eight point Alahead of Borussia Dortmund in second place with fifty four point, as Union Berlin drops to twelve position on the log after today’s defeat with Thirty points.
