Anthony Ujah Signs With Botev Plovdiv

Nigerian forward Anthony Ujah has signed with Bulgarian First League club Botev Plovdiv.

The 33-year-old superstar joined the team on a free transfer after his impressive stint with Eintracht Braunschweig in the Bundesliga 2.

Ujah Brings Bundesliga Expertise to Botev Plovdiv. With an impressive record in German football, Ujah has played for top clubs like FSV Mainz, FC Cologne, Werder Bremen, and Union Berlin, scoring 30 goals in 136 matches.

He’s the third-highest scoring Nigerian player in German Bundesliga history, trailing behind Jonathan Akpoberie and Victor Agali.

Ujah’s Illustrious Career

Ujah’s career spans over 13 years, with a notable 18-month stint in China with Liaoning Whowin. He began his journey with Abuja F.C. and Warri Wolves before joining Lillestrøm in 2010, where he scored an impressive 30 goals in 42 matches.

International Accolades

Ujah was a key player in the Super Eagles squad at the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil, starting Nigeria’s 6-1 win over Tahiti.
