With preparation for the CAF Confederation cup in top gear, management of Kwara United football club is reportedly set to announce Azeez Mohammed as the new head coach of the club ahead of the new season, Owosports.com.ng reports.
According to reports, the former Hilal Al-Fasher of Sudan and Kastina United gaffer is close to finalizing the deal that would see him become the head coach of the club on a permanent basis following the departure of Abdullahi Biffo last season.
Azeez Mohammed worked behind the seen alongside coach Lookman Ijaiya at the home stretch of last season helping the team to finish fourth on the league NPFL standings which has gifted them with an opportunity to represent Nigeria at the CAF Confederations cup.
With the management impressed with his input they are expected to hand him a one year contract with an option to extend.
