Benjamin Frederick: Flying Eagles Defender Joins English Premiership Side Brentford

Former ABS FC ILORIN and Nasarawa United defender Benjamin Fredrick has joined English premiership side Brentford Team B on loan from Simoiben FC, Owosports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian youth international joined on a year loan deal with an option of a permanent move.

“We are pleased to announce the signing of Benjamin Fredrick on loan from Simoiben FC until the end of the 2023/24 season. The move is subject to international clearance.
There is also an option to make the signing permanent.
The central defender will join up with Neil MacFarlane’s B team for the campaign” The club announced via their official website.

Benjamin featured for Nigeria at FIFA Under-20 World Cup earlier this summer in Argentina helping the team to the quarter-final stages, before exiting the competition with a 1-0 defeat to South Korea.

He was a regular for coach Ladan Bosso where he made 11 appearances featuring at the WAFU B championship in Niger, U20 AFCON in Egypt and at the FIFA U20 World in Argentina.

The 18-year-old defender has also had short spells with Nigerian clubs including ABS FC and Nasawara United in recent seasons and he now heads to west London to continue his development under the B-team staff.
