Organisers of the Bet9ja Alimosho Football Challenge will honour Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA) member, Honourable Kehinde Joseph in the final on Saturday.
Prince Jay FC will battle it out with Peculiar FC for the trophy and prize money at the Sosan Pitch in Igando Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
Disclosing this to reporters, Head Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the biggest grassroot football tourney in Alimosho, Sulaimon Gbadamosi said: “The Honourable Member will be rewarded with a merit award for his contributions to youth development at the grassroot.
“I want to also use this medium to appeal to fans of grassroot to come cheer on the teams as they should expect a thriller.”
Meanwhile Coach of Prince Jay FC, Jacob Adeshola hinted that: “It’s going to be a tough duel in Saturday’s final, so I expect my players to give their best.”
His counterpart, Mboma Ahotin of Peculiar FC rated the championship high as he thanked the sponsors.
“The tourney standard has been 100 % percent, the organization has been has been good and thumbs up for Bet9ja for providing jerseys for the 16 teams.
“The security arrangement has been okay has no violence was recorded getting to the finale.”
Ex-Internationals, Yisa Shofoluwe and Festus Odini are expected to grace the game.
