In a thrilling encounter, Beyond Limits FA emerged victorious over Nasarawa United, clinching the 2024 Nigeria National League (NNL) championship title. The match ended 2-2 in regulation time, with Beyond Limits FA prevailing 4-2 in the penalty shootout.
Farouq Ogundare scored the opening goal for Beyond Limits FA in the 28th minute, converting a penalty kick. Anas Yusuf equalized for Nasarawa United in the 32nd minute with a brilliant finish, making it 1-1 at halftime.
Ayodele Shina restored Beyond Limits FA’s lead with a stunning strike in the 46th minute, but Peter Eneji leveled the score again for Nasarawa United in the 80th minute, resulting in a 2-2 draw at full time.
Beyond Limits FA’s victory was a testament to their impressive performance in the Southern Conference Group, where they finished top with seven points, securing one of the promotion tickets to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL). They had earlier secured wins against Mandiba FC and Inter Lagos, as well as a draw with Ikorodu City, who took second spot in the group.
