Beyond Limits Record First 3pts In Ogunjobi Gold Cup

FC Ebedei suffered a second defeat at the ongoing Ogunjobi Gold Cup pre-season tournament, as they fell 1-0 to debutants Beyond Limits on Matchday 2 of Group B.

It was an end to end football action from both teams at the FC Ebedei Stadium as both goalkeepers took the shine as they were outstanding, with a few superb saves they made.

The quarter of an hour saw both teams display good teamwork, counter-attacking play and likewise defending. The match officials took were professional with their duties as they allowed the game to follow.

The first real chance came to Beyond Limits in the 22nd minute as FC Ebedei defender would have easily gifted their opponent a goal as misplaced his clearance to his goal, but a sharp reflex save from goalkeeper denied the visitors from Ikenne the opener.

Two minutes later, Taiwo Moshood put Beyond Limits 1-0 ahead at halftime with a cool finish as he profited from FC Ebedei schoolboy defending.

Beyond Limits were clinical with their defending as it took FC Ebedei 22 minutes to threaten goalkeeper Olisa Emmanuel of Beyond Limits.

Olisa who was outstanding in the game against Niger Tornadoes was called to duty after he made a superb point-blank save to deny FC Ebedei an equalizing goal late at halftime.

As FC Ebedei tried all they can to level scores, Beyond Limits were clinical with their defending as the tie ended 1-0 in favour of Beyond Limits.

Beyond Limits will battle Shooting Stars for a ticket in the semifinals while FC Ebedei could play for pride against Tornadoes on Monday.
