Bola Magaji Expresses Satisfaction with Kwara’s Table Tennis Podium Finish

The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bola Magaji has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the state’s duo of Al Ameen Adebayo and Faruq Hussein in the table tennis singles event at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

Mallam Bola Magaji who spoke to journalists immediately after Kwara recorded gold and silver in the table tennis event at the Indoor Hall of Stephen Keshi Stadium, noted the wins in the game was a manifestation of the promise made before coming for the National contest .

Mallam Magaji said Table Tennis is one of the games where the strength of Kwara lies, noting that the likes of Atanda Musa and Kasali Lasisi were the Products of Kwara State .

He reiterated the determination of the present administration under Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq not rest on oars in the development of sports from the grassroots.

Also speaking, Coach Kehinde Aiyelabegan said training and retraining through open and close camp assisted his players in the realization of their Podium finish.

Similarly, Grace Gana of Kwara State has won silver medal in the girl’s FIVES event, also Busayo Falana and again Grace Gana won bronze medal in the FIVES Girl’s team event earlier in the morning of day four .

JSS 3 Busayo Falana who is 13 years old attends Government Day Senior Secondary School, Adewole JSS 1 Grace Gana who is 11 years old attends Baptist Junior Secondary School, Ilorin .

Abdulqudus won gold in th male singles of Scrabble to harvest for more medals for team Kwara in the day four of the national contest.
