Botafogo In Contract Talks With John Obi Mikel And Yaya Toure Over A Possible Move

Brazilian side Botafogo are in talks with former Chelsea Star John Obi Mikel and Manchester City Legend Yaya Toure over a possible summer transfer.

The African Cup of Nations winning Stars are currently without a club after ending their contract on a mutual consent with their former sides.

According to Ricardo Rotenberg, a member of the board of directors, who made a statement about the status of transfers in Botafogo, who has been trying to add Mikel to Botafogo for a long time.

According to the report on ESPN, Rotenberg said, “Last week I talked to both players and their managers. Negotiations are continuing and only the part of their wages has not been finalized yet.”

Nigerian John Obi Mikel and Ivorian Yaya Toure who spent years as rivals in the English Premier league could link up as teammates for the first time at Brazilian side Botafogo should the transfer go through.
