The Nigeria Women Football League has postponed the 2020 NWFL Premiership scheduled to kick off tomorrow Wednesday, 18th of March.
According to the statement released by the Media of the NWFL, the postponement became inevitable in a bid to help teams meet up some of the league obligations.
“The postponement was necessary due to some clubs inability to meet up with the submission of evidence of payment of players wages and completion of the comprehensive medical reports”.
The Statement says “the league will now kick off next week, the 25th of March 2020”.
It added that the Management of the league regret any inconveniences the postponement might have informed.
Nigeria Women Football League is the highest of the show of female footballers in the country.
With last season title being won by Rivers Angels, 20 teams are yet again ready this season to contest for the coveted female league Championship in the Country.
