Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Rivers United got an overwhelming away victory over South African side, Bloemfontein Celtic as they edge them 2-0 in the CAF Confederations cup Qualifying round first leg tie played on Wednesday in South Africa.
Rivers United began well and could have gone ahead early in the opening 20th minutes after two goal scoring opportunities fell into the part of Godwin Aguda in quick succession, which he failed to put away.
After a goaless first half, Godwin Aguda however fired the pride of Rivers in front in the 71st minute, Omoniwari Fortune increased the goal tally in the 83rd minutes, to hands the Port Harcourt based Club a huge advantage as they will look to consolidate on the two alway goals in the return leg of encounter in Port Harcourt come January 2021.
