Kwara United defender Abdulafeez Musa Olororo believe they have the quality to beat RS Berkane to reach the group phases of the 2022/2023 CAF Confederations cup.
Kwara United on Sunday at the Stade General Senyi Kountche Stadium in Niamey held host AS Douanes to a goalless draw in the second leg of the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederations cup to record a 3-0 aggregate victory to reach the next phase.
The Harmony Boys will now face defending champions of the Competition RS Berkane of Morocco in the second preliminary round as they jostle for a spot in the group stage.
The fixture has generated huge reason for concern amongst football enthusiast but for Abdulafeez Musa popularly know as Olororo there is no cause for alarm as he believed they have the quality to outshine the Moroccans.
“RS Berkane is just another opponent like AS Douanes there is absolutely nothing special and nothing to worry about”, He said exclusively to Owosports.com.ng. in a chat.
“It’s football and 180 minutes over two leg will determine who is superior, yes they are the defending champions but offcourse defending champions can be beaten.
“We have the quality in our Squad to beat them (RS Berkane) and qualify for the group stage. Our target is to go far in the competition, we will like every other team and also try to win it, we will be ready for the challenge”, He added.
The first leg of the tie will go down between 7th – 9th October 2022, while the second leg will be decided between 14th-16th October 2022.
