CAFCC: “We’re Unstoppable” Kabiru Talks Tough Ahead Of Sunday’s Second Leg Tie

Kwara United captain Kabiru Balogun says they are unstoppable and are in pole position to qualify for the next round of the CAF Confederations cup after their 3-0 victory over AS Douanes on Sunday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Lagos, Owosports.com.ng reports.

Paul Samson 5th minutes opener and Waisu Jimoh’s brace put the Harmony Boys in control of the tie with a comfortable 3-0 win over AS Douanes. With the second schedule for this Sunday in Niamey Kabiru Balogun believes they are unstoppable and will do everything to go through.

“It was a difficult game despite scoring three goals in the first half we couldn’t score in the second half which shows how difficult the game was the most important thing now is that we are comfortable going into the second leg and we will do everything to protect the lead and qualify for the next round. He said to Owosports.com.

“I want to appreciate the fighting spirit of the guys and i believe it’s what we need as a team to strive and I believe that if we continue this way we will be unstoppable.

He also applauded the Kwara State Government and the people of Kwara for their love and support adding that it was a huge moral booster to see them storm Lagos for the match he however promised that they (Kwara United) will do their best to ensure that they go far in the competition.

“It was a good feeling seeing our fans all the way from Kwara State it made us feel at home, I want to also thank the Executive Governor of Kwara State AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq who also graced the occasion that was huge for us, we will do our best to make them proud”, Kabiru Balogun concluded.

Kwara United will travel to Niamey for their second leg of the CAF Confederations cup first preliminary round against AS Douanes on the 18th of September 2022.
