CAFWCL: Hasaacas Ladies Books Semifinal Spot After Spanking AS Mande 3-0

Ghanaian side Hasaacas Ladies have qualified for the semifinal of maiden Totalenergies Women’s CAF champions league following a dominant 3-0 win over Malian AS Mande in the second group A game played today (Monday) at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo Egypt.

Evelyn Badu was on fire once again for Ghanaian side scoring a brace on the night which earned her a consecutive Woman of The Match award.

Badu started the goal feast as she put Hasaacas in the lead on the 18th minute just after AS Mande’s goalkeeper went through an injury that forced her off the pitch, which was considered the turning point for AS Mande as they conceived the goal right after the change.

Pepertual Agyekum then scored the second goal for Hassacas Ladies to end the first half as 2-0.

Badu completed her brace scoring the third for her team after the break, to make the result 3-0.

Evelyn Badu who was handed the Woman of The Match award expressed her excitement to have won the award for the second time in the competition as she promised to do more to help her team achieve their target.

“I’m really grateful to win this award two times in a row and to be the top scorer. This only makes me want to do more”.

Coach Yussif Basigi of Hasaacas Ladies in a post match interview disclosed how pleased he was with her team’s mentality having overpowered their opponent who came with the mindset to frustrate their tactics but insist it not over as he shift focus to the game against Wadi Degla.

“Our opponent came with a mindset to frustrate our tactical play, but with time we could ruin this for them and play our way”.

“It’s not over until next match is over. Our full focus is on the next match against Wadi Degla and this match is now behind us”.

“They will address the match with all seriousness but so will we. We know how important this game”, he said.
