Ajax coach Alfred Schreuder has expressed his delight for Super Eagles versatile defender Calvin Bassey, OwoSports.com.ng reports.
The Nigerian was at his best on Tuesday as he provided an assist in a solid performance, as Ajax cruise to a big in the UEFA Champions League win.
“He brings a lot of physicality and speed, in that respect he provides a lot of security. He is getting better and better, he is being helped well. Daley Blind plays an important role in that and coaches him,” Schreuder said.

“Calvin is a funny guy, he’s always happy and he brings positive energy.”
Bassey who made a summer move to the Amsterdam giants, felt that Rangers weren’t as poor as the scoreline suggested after beating his former side 4-0.
It’s a weird feeling because when i’m playing against the boys I need to put those feelings to one side ahead of the game.
