Enyimba of Aba midfielder, Austine Oladapo has assured Nigerians that the team can qualify for the tournament in Cameroon scoring more than three goals against Togo.
The local Hawks of Togo pummeled Imama Amapakabo CHAN team 4-1 in the 1st leg fixture in Lome three weeks ago.
Oladapo who has been invited to national team by Amapakabo told OwoSports.com at Enyimba’s Otta camp that: “It’s a privileged to be handed a national team invite, the game against the local Hawks of Togo is one the CHAN Eagles can win with more than a 3-0 goal margin.
“All what we need do is to play as a team, make the most of the goal scoring chances and don’t lose focus until after qualification has been secured.”
As regards the People’s Elephants preparations for the game against TS Galaxy of South Africa, “We’re making the most out of the camping as our preparations for the CAF Play-Off game has been tough and going to plans.
“My teammates and I have been sweating it out in the practice sessions perfecting the different match plans, tactics and working on our weakness since arriving Otta.
“There’s a tune-up game against MFM FC of Lagos billed for Wednesday by noon, is one we’ll use to put all what we have learnt to practice.
“Meanwhile, not scoring a goal against the Sudanese in both legs wasn’t the issue, rather we were not just lucky in front of goal as we created much chances in the game. We should have beaten them at least 3-0 or 4-0 in Aba.
“It was really a bad day in the office for us, however I want to assure all Aba Elephant to expect nothing short of victory from us against Galaxy, not just that but with a better goal margin.”
On the NPFL kickoff, “The news of the November 3rd date and Enyimba versus Nasarawa Utd fixture came to me as a delight as I’ve been waiting for the 2019/20 season to start.
“Nasarawa Utd are no pushover, experienced and tough opponents. The enthusiasm we are using to prepare for the game against TS Galaxy, same for the Solid Minners.”
