Kwara United General Manager and Super Eagles B Co-ordinator Bashir Badawiy says the team is battle ready for their Sunday Championship for African Nations (CHAN) qualifiers against the Black Galaxies of Ghana.
Nigeria contingent has landed in Ghana ahead of the encounter billed for the Cape Coast Stadium Accra Ghana.
The team departed Abuja Nigeria and arrive in Cape Coast on Friday, for the first leg in Ghana.
Both team will battle for a place at the 7th edition of the CHAN competition in a two legged affair which begins this Sunday with Ghana desperate to make an appearance having failed to qualify for three previous editions.
The team Co-ordinator Bashir Badawiy stated that the team are aware of the task ahead and are fully ready to deliver adding that the technical crew led by coach Salisu Yusuf have been doing a good job with the lad.
He affirmed that the goal is to qualify for the championship and they will look to achieve that starting from a victory against their Host on Sunday.
“We’ve arrived Ghana the boys are aware of the task ahead, the coaches have been doing their best to put them in shape, the Spirit is high and we definitely sure of qualifying for the championship starting with a good results here in Cape Coast, a win on Sunday won’t be bad and I know we can achieve it”, He said to Owosports.com.ng.
The Black Galaxies have aswell retuned to Ghana from to tour of Qatar in preparation for the encounter on Sunday.
