SGFC Athletics SC defender Michael Ogani has stated that they are fired up ahead of Saturdays 2023 Ciroma Football Championship final against Gaa Akanbi FC.
The defender who can as well play as a defensive midfielder said He and His colleagues will go all out come Saturday to try to win the trophy to payback the management for the NLO Playoffs disappointment where they lost 3-0 to Shooting Stars team B which ended the club’s ambition of securing promotion to the NNL.
Speaking with the club media the Kogi State born defense marshall said, “Saturdays match is a do or die for us, we will fight and ensure that we win the trophy to payback for the disappointment we witnessed in Osogbo”.
“Coming into the season our primary target was to be promoted to the Nigeria National League (NNL) but it didn’t work out as planned as we lost out in the playoffs despite having a good run in Kwara state center where we finished as leaders so we want to repay back the management and the fans and winning on Saturday will be a good way to do that”, He noted.
SGFC Athletics will looking to add a second trophy to the Evolution cup won last year in Ikenne.
The final match will go down at the KFA Pitch inside the Kwara State Stadium Complex Ilorin Kwara State by 3:pm
