Former Nigeria international John Obi Mikel has been let off his contract at Kuwait SC.
The midfielder who is packed with experience will have to search for a new club if he is still considering to still be an active footballer. The Brigadiers announce this new development on their Instagram page on Thursday.
The former Chelsea midfielder signed a year contract with the Kuwait club in July and 120 days into the agreed deal both parties have gone their serperate ways.
Mikel has made an impact for both clubs and country, he represented, he represented Nigeria both at the junior and senior level. He help Nigeria lift the 2013 African Cup of Nations and won the Bronze at the 2016 Olympics.
For clubs, Mikel has played for clubs in Africa, Europe and Asia with Chelsea being where he spent a little over ten years of his life with 372 appearances for the London club.
