The organizers of the Coach Aliyu Zubair Kiddies Tournament 2025 have released the draws and fixtures for the maiden edition of the tournament.
The draws ceremony, which took place at the Kwara Football Academy (KFA) conference hall on Tuesday, December 31st, 2024, saw twenty teams divided into four groups of five teams each.
According to the organizers, the tournament is designed to promote grassroots football development and provide a platform for young talents to showcase their skills.
Chairman of the organising committee, Coach Muhammed Oniye said “The Coach Aliyu Zubair Kiddies Tournament 2025 is a significant investment in the future of Nigerian football.”We are excited to provide this opportunity for young players to compete and develop their skills.”
In their separate remarks, the Assistant Coach of Flying Eagles of Nigeria, Lukman Ijaiya and Abdullahi Sulaiman Agali who is the personal assistant to Coach Zubair noted that the tournament will unearth talented footballers.
They both urged the participating teams to adhere strictly to the rules of the tournament and also used the platform to furher develop the skills of the boys.
Fantastic prizes will also be presented to outstanding teams, played and officials at the end of the tournament.
The tournament which is expected to be an annual event will kick off on Thursday 2nd January 2025 in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.
