The Kwara United Technical Adviser, Abdullahi Biffo believed that a team pays dearly for building their game around a player.

He made the remarks while fielding questions from newsmen after his side 1-0 victory over Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministry FC of Lagos in Ilorin on Sunday during one of the Nigeria Professional Football League Match Day 18 fixture.

He explained the rationale behind the introduction of some unlikely featured players saying the decision is aimed at giving them the chance to also play.

“We don’t want to build Kwara United around a particular player because we are trying to give everybody chance in order to be able to judge at the end of the season”.

Coming back into the winning ways, while acknowledging some of the positives from the game, he noted the result would serve them well in building their winning mentality.

“We have come back to the winning ways, the last two games we were unable to win because we drew one and lost away to, so today’s win will go a very long way to boost our winning mentality”.

Upon the background of a relatively delivering and influential Joshua Agboola not being featured in the game.

“We almost have 34 players, if you build your team around one particular player the day the player is out you will pay dearly for it”, the former Katsina Utd gaffer quipped.

Now seating 13th on the log with 23 points, Kwara United travels to Porthacourt for their next game to face Rivers United on the 9th of February in the match day 19 of the NPFL 19/20 season.
