Coach Ojekunle foley Expresses Concern Over NPFL Officiating

As Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL 2023/24 season gradually coming to an end, a Lagos based Coach and football administrator, Coach Folabi Ojekunle says he is not impress with the officiating, stating that NPFL should not be dragged backward over poor officiating .

Ojekunle fondly called Coach Folly, said despite huge resources committed by the various club sides to prosecute their matches on weekly basis, unimpressive officiating has wrecked some of the teams.

Coach Ojekunle who was speaking with Journalists after watching Kwara United versus Remo Stars on Sunday at the Kwara State Stadium explained that on the scale of hundred, he can only rate the officiating on forty to forty five percent, asking NRA to improve if our league must compete favourably with others in the continent.

“I’m not pleased with officiating in the NPFL,we cannot continue this way and expect our league to be among the best in the Africa or even the World, there is room for improvement ”

Coach Folly while reacting to the appointment of Finidi George as the Coach of the senior national men’s team, he disclosed that for NFF to have hired local Coach, it’s behooves on us to support him to succeed

He expressed concerned over the the twenty three man list released by Coach Finidi to prosecute World Cup Qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic, noting a list without natural left foot back player is questionable.

‘I’m worried over the list, there is not natural left foot back player in the list , I don’t know how it will goes”
