Costa Rica 2022: Falconets Gets Tough Group C Draws

Nigeria National Women’s U-20 team the Super Falconets have been handed a tough Group C paring after being drawn alongside France, Canada and South Korea ahead of this year’s U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

The draw was held on Thursday at the Teatro Nacional de Costa Rica in San José.

The competition will run from 10th to 28th August in the cities of Alajuela and San Jose.

The 16 qualified teams were seeded based on their performances in the five previous World Cups.

Nigeria qualified for the competition having crossed the hurdles of DR Congo, Cameroon and Senegal.

Another African representative, Ghana was placed in group D with Japan, Netherlands and United States.

Falconets will be hoping to go a step further in Costa Rica having played in the final twice and losing to Germany on both occasions.
