History, they say, will always repeat itself when it is on the verge of continuity with result.
With the three match ultimatum given to Kano Pillars, they will be at home to a team who is in-form this season (Wikki Tourists of Bauchi) and has proven that they can conquer and overpower the bigger boys when it matters most.
History has always favoured one of the most in-form strikers in Nigeria League so far. From his playing days at Sharks, Rivers United and Niger Tornadoes, he has always scored against big teams.
He is a player who has been part of history with all his success and scoring streaks so far this season. He is Daniel Jackson (Didi). He has undoubtedly proven doubters wrong by scoring three goals so far this season against Plateau United in Jos and a brace against Delta Force in midweek.
Speaking with OwoSports.com about his journey to Kano this weekend, Didi Jackson said he sets his sights on victory, not minding that they are playing away from home. He said they can punish Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha Stadium just like they did to Nasarawa United in Lafia and also made Plateau United to go the extra mile before they could beat them (Wikki Tourists).
Didi knows the challenges the team will face but he said he will try to score again like he did
gainst the same Pillars side in Port Harcourt some seasons ago. Incidentally, it was a live game on TV and he scored the only goal that gave Rivers United the victory.
“I am going to do it again on Sunday and repeat that same feat in front of Kano Pillars fans. But this time, I will be doning the jersey of Wikki Tourists of Bauchi.”
The former Nasarawa United goal poacher, who exhibits sublime footwork display and slick skills like former Ivorian international striker, Didier Drogba, was on song in the midweek and he is set to make history on Sunday in Kano if he scores again.
