Defending Champion Safety Shooters and Adorable Angels stepped up the defence of their titles as they won their matches of Day 5 of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier 2021.
Adorable Angels comfortably defeated winless Plateau Peacocks 34-25 to continue their winning streak in the league despite the absence of star player Idowu Abdurasaq, who was granted permission to leave the team to write an examination.
The other match in women category saw Edo Dynamos completely outplaying Kada Queens 31-16.
In the male category, Safety Shooters were able to break the resistance of Tojemarine Academy with a 24-19 victory while Confluence Stars had to really dig deep before they could defeat Plateau Vipers 22-20.
Lagos Seasider Boys got back to winning ways as they comfortably defeated Kada Stars 37-24 while De Defenders defeat Police Machine 28-21.
The last match of the day in the men category saw Niger United defeat long time rival Rima Strikers 26-21
