According to renowned football expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the highly anticipated transfer of Nigerian midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru to Lazio has encountered a significant obstacle.
Despite agreeing on a €7 million deal with his current club Hatayspor, negotiations have stalled due to Dele-Bashiru’s lofty wage demands.
Lazio’s Sporting Director Angelo Fabiani had identified the 23-year-old as a prime target, but the club is now hesitant to meet his salary expectations, which have brought talks to a standstill.
Dele-Bashiru’s impressive performance last season, scoring 9 goals and 6 assists in 39 appearances, has driven up his value, but Lazio is unwilling to compromise their wage structure.
The Italian outfit is eager to find a solution, and negotiations are expected to continue in the coming weeks.
However, it remains to be seen whether Dele-Bashiru will compromise on his demands or if Lazio will look elsewhere to strengthen their midfield.
