It was ten days of sporting activities in Asaba the capital city of Delta state with fourteen thousand athletes competing for medals at the 21 National sports festival which began on Wednesday the 30th of November 2022.

Delta state emerge Champions of the games retaining the title won the last time at the Edo 2020 games, after they rank up a total number of 320 gold, 200 silver and 128 bronze medal making it a total of 648 medals.
In second position was Bayelsa State who lip frog Edo State after they clinch 132 Gold, 115 Silver and 90 bronze to make it a total of 337 medals. In third position was Edo State with 78 Gold, 94, silver and 167 bronze making a total of 339 medals. Oyo, Lagos, Rivers, Kano, Ogun, FCT and Akwa Ibom completes the top 10 states.

Nasarawa, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Kebbi, Ekiti, Taraba, Jigawa Sokoto, Gombe and Zamfara with no gold medal won occupied the bottom of the medals table.
The next National Sports Festival will be hosted by Ogun State in 2024.
