Players and Management of Nigeria National League side (NNL) Ekiti United Football club are reportedly groaning over their unpaid August salary.
According to an insider who spoke to our correspondence on the basis of anomity said; “This is September and we don’t know when the August salary will be paid”.
“The management are not telling us anything about when we will be paid”, He said.
“It is unfortunate that those in charge are not sincere and are not telling us anything, we don’t know if the government has released the money for prompt payment or not”. He concluded.
It is sad that despite the economic hardship in Nigeria some persons have decided to let people go hungry despite having worked tirelessly for the club.
