Nasarawa United and Elkanemi Warriors have secured their promotion back to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after their fantastic performance from the Nigeria National League (NNL) super eight playoff in Enugu.
Nasarawa United top the Northern Conference group with nine points without loosing a single match while Elkanemi Warriors are second in the same group having gathered six points in three matches, a win against Sokoto United in their last match is what send them back to the NPFL.
Both teams was paired in the same conference during the regular season. Elkanemi warriors secured the top spot with 34 points while Nasarawa United second in the same group with 33 points before heading to super eight tourney that send them back to the Nigeria top flight league (NPFL)
Both Elkanemi Warriors and Nasarawa United finished at the bottom of the 2022/2023 season which send them to division two of the Nigeria league. After one season spend in the Nigeria National league both of them are now back Nigeria premier football league for 2024/2025 season.
