Okaa Sports FC and Skillz FC have booked their place in the quarterfinal of the ongoing 2023 Emir of Ilorin cup.
Okaa Sports FC defeated Unilorin Warriors 1-0 in the third round of sixteen encounter played at the Unilorin Mini Campus on Sunday afternoon to set up a Quarter Final clash with with Sunshine FC.
With just ten minutes after the break, Abdulrahman Salam powered in a delightful strike inside the area to beat Adams Josiah to put Okaa Sports ahead.
The goal proved decisive as Okaa Sports FC held on despite a late onslaught from the University Boys to secure the win.
Skills FC in the other round of sixteen encounters edged out Kwara Poly FC 5-4 on penalties to set up a quarterfinal tie with Adezzy FC.
The match which ended goalless at full time saw Skillz FC reduced to 10 men five minutes before the final whistle but they were solid enough to hold on and forced the game into penalties which they won 5-4 to secure their place in the quarterfinal where they will face Adezzy FC.
