Red-hot Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis is a major doubt for Watford’s Wednesdays Premiership clash against league leaders Chelsea at Vicarage Road, www.owosports.com.ng reports.
Dennis was taken off for Ashley Fletcher in the 71st minute of Watford’s 4-2 loss to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon minutes after scoring the Hornets second goal to reduce the deficit to 3-2.
“Adam Masina is expected to be fit for tomorrow’s match with Chelsea despite picking a knock against the Foxes, however Emmanuel Dennis is a doubt after his withdrawal at the King Power Stadium”, A release via the club’s website.
Dennis absence would be a huge blow to Watford’s hopes of getting a positive results against Thomas Tuchel’s team on Wednesday night.
Watford will also be missing the services of Senegalese International Ismaïla Sarr who has been out with a knee ligament injury, Nicolas Nkoulou has also been sideline until January with a hamstring injury he picked up against Manchester United.
Goalkeeper Ben Foster who missed last weekend’s trip to Leicester City having been nursing a groin strain in recent games could be out until January.
Juraj Kucka will be assessed after missing Sunday’s game with a minor knock to the knee, while Ken Sema also out with a knee injury – hopes to re-join training with the squad at the end of this week.
Francisco Sierralta (hamstring) is now running outside, and longer-term absentees Peter Etebo (quad) and Kwadwo Baah (ankle) are continuing to work at the London Colney training base on their rehabilitation programmes.
